The 2020 NPC Southern States Championships Welcomes South Florida Back To The Bodybuilding Season With The 40th Anniversary Of The Show

BOCA RATON (September 8, 2020) – MBFit Sports Promotions and Pro Tan USA proudly present the 40th annual NPC Southern States Championships taking place at the Embassy Suites Boca Raton (661 NW 53rd Street, Boca Raton, FL) on Saturday, September 12th.

This version of the bodybuilding show has been taking place in South Florida since 1980. Then called the Mr. Southern States, thousands of NPC competitors have since crossed the stage in competition and celebration of health and fitness.

The National Physique Commitee is the largest governing body of all things bodybuilding which now takes many shapes. At the NPC Southern States Competition athletes compete in the classes of tradtional Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Bikini, Figure, Fitness, Wellness, and Men’s & Women’s Physique. You can find athletes of all ages from teenage to over 70 and first time competitors as well as seasoned veterans looking to qualify for national competition with hopes of becoming a professional.

“There is no cookie cutter that can fit every image of health and if you came out to the show you will see amazing physiques of every shape and size imaginable,” says Maria Bellando, president of MBFit Sports Inc and NPC official.

New to this year’s lineup is the Women’s Wellness category. “This division is inclusive as those born with bigger legs are not penalized and forced to trim them down drastically,” claims Maria.

The Head Judge of this year’s competition is NPC Florida Chairman and IFBB Pro League Head Judge Tim Gardner from Tampa, FL.

This year’s show has a different format to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines. Men’s Prejudging will take place at 9:00 am Saturday, September 12th with Women’s Prejudging following at 10:30 am. Tickets for each showing costs $25 for General and $35 for VIP. The Men’s Finals show will take place at 5:00 PM with the Women’s Finals starting at 7:00 PM.
