2010 MARIA BELLANDO NPC SOUTHERN STATES FITNESS, FIGURE & BIKINI CHAMPIONSHIPS OFFICIAL ENTRY FORM - WOMEN SANCTION : This competition is sanctioned by the National Physique Committee of the USA Inc. NPC Sanction #11362. ELIGIBILITY : This contest is open to all women in the U.S. Those in the Teenage & Masters Women must provide proof of age at the check in. Contestants must register to join the NPC (2010 fee is $90) and membership application cards will be available at the contest. The contest is a NATIONAL QUALIFIER for all events for this year and 2011. HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS : The official host hotel is the EMBASSY SUITES HOTEL – FORT LAUDERDALE. 1100 Southeast 17th St., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33316.. The hotel is located near the contest site. Every room is a suite with a kitchen (fridge, microwave), dining area and sofa that pulls out for use as an additional bed plus complimentary cooked to order breakfast. A special discounted rate has been arranged. For those staying at the host hotel, by signing this agreement, they agree to be responsible for any damage to the hotel room as a result of any body color, oils, spray tan or any other damage to hotel bedding, towels, carpet, drapes, walls, doors or any other hotel furnishings. AWARDS : REPORTING TIME : All contestants must report backstage to the War Memorial Auditorium, 800 NE 8th St. , Ft. Lauderdale , to check in at 3:00pm. Friday, July 9th. An athlete meeting will be held by the Head Judge at 5:00pm. to review the judging and schedule. There is No Prejudging. The Evening Show starts promptly at 6:00 p.m. MUSIC : Music will be used for the Fitness Routine (Round #2). Contestants must provide a CD cued to their exact music - maximum time 2 minutes. No profanity is allowed on the CDs. GENERAL INFORMATION : 1. Jewelry may be worn, 2. Thong swimsuits will not be allowed, and 3. The workable stage area is 45' long by 30' deep. It is a flat floor and there will be no platforms. TANNING: On-Site/Backstage Tanning will be provided by Hot Spot of Sarasota. Tanning will be available to the competitors on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Competitors may not enter more than one age group competition. Additional entry fee: $40.00. Per NPC Rules, no crossover between fitness, figure or bikini COMPETITION ROUNDS & RULES - TEENAGE WOMEN FITNESSS - 2 AGE GROUPS 13-16 & 17-19 ROUND 1/SWIMSUIT : One-piece swimsuit. Contestants will be brought out individually to do quarter turns and then compared as a group. For the 13-16 Age Group - no heels. For the 17-19 Age Group - low heels will be allowed. This round counts for 1/3 of the overall score. There is no 2 piece swimsuit round in Teen Women Fitness. ROUND 2/ROUTINE : Each competitor will perform a maximum 2-minute routine. See further details on this round under the Women's Open Fitness Round 2/Routine. This round counts for 2/3 of the overall score. The heavy emphasis on the routine pays tribute to the effort in creating and executing their routines. AWARDS: The competitors will be brought back on stage in their one-piece swimsuit. After the presentation of awards in each Age Group, the winner of the 13-16 Age Group and the winner of the 17-19 Age Group will be brought back in their one-piece swimsuit with no heels for judging and awarding of the overall winner. COMPETITION ROUNDS & RULES - WOMEN'S OPEN FITNESS ROUND 1/TWO PIECE SWIMSUIT : In each height class, the contestants will be brought individually to do their quarter turns and then compared in a line up in their two piece swimsuits with heels. The judges will be scoring the degree of athleticism by assessing the firmness, symmetry, proportion and overall physical appearance including complexion, skin tone, poise and overall presentation. ROUND 2/FITNESS ROUTINE : Each contestant will perform a routine to music for no longer than 2 minutes. Routines may include aerobics, dance, gymnastics or other demonstration of athletic ability. Judges will be looking for style, personality, athletic coordination, strength moves, endurance and overall performance. THERE ARE NO REQUIRED MOVEMENTS. Contestants will wear a fitness outfit of their choice along with athletic shoes. Special attention should be given to your fitness outfit since it too will be judged. Due to the danger of slipping, no body oil will be allowed during this round. Props carried on stage by the athlete are approved. SCORING : The scoring for the rounds is as follows: Round 1 (Two Piece Swimsuit) 50%, Round 2 Routine 50%. In the Women's Open Fitness, the winner of the Short Class and Tall Class will be brought back on stage and compared with quarter turns in their two-piece swimsuit and heels for judging of the overall winner. COMPETITION ROUNDS & RULES - WOMEN'S OPEN, NOVICE, TEEN & MASTERS (WOMEN OVER 30, 40 & 50) FIGURE ROUND 1/TWO PIECE SWIMSUIT: The contestants, wearing a two piece swimsuit of their choice with high heels, will be brought out individually to do their quarter turns and then compared in a line-up. No thong swimsuits will be permitted. Jewelry may be worn in this round. No oil may be worn. The judges will be scoring the degree of athleticism by assessing the firmness, symmetry, proportion and overall physical appearance including complexion, skin tone, poise, swimsuit and overall presentation. ROUND 2/FINAL ASSESSMENT: In the Women's Open Figure, the winners of Class A, B. C & D will be brought back on stage and compared in their two piece swimsuit and heels for judging of the overall winner. In the Teen Figure, the winner of the 13-16 and 17-19 will be compared in their two piece swimsuit for determination of an overall Teen Figure winner. The same criteria for judging applies in this round as in Round 1. COMPETITION ROUND & RULES – WOMEN’S OPEN BIKINI ROUND 1/TWO PIECE SWIMSUIT: The contestants, wearing a two piece swimsuit of their choice with high heels, will perform their “ModelWalk” (personal preference) to the center of the stage, stop and do a front stance, do a full turn to do their rear stance, turn to front again, then proceed to the side of the stage. No thong swimsuits will be permitted. Jewelry may be worn in this round. No oil may be worn. The contestants will then present their full front and rear stance with the other contestants in their height class. Judges will score competitors on “Balance and Shape” and overall physical appearance including complexion, skin tone, poise and overall presentation. ROUND 2/FINALS: The top five competitors in each of the four height classes will receive their trophies. The winners of each class will then be brought back on stage and compared for the awarding of the overall trophy.
