SPECIAL NOTICE : This contest is an OFFICIAL NATIONAL QUALIFIER for the 2008 NPC Teen, Masters & Collegiate Nationals to be held July 18-19, 2008 in Pittsburgh, PA, the USA BB & Figure to be held July 25-26, 2008 in Las Vegas, NV and the Nov. 21-22, 2008 NPC Nationals in Atlanta, GA and all other National events for 2 years.
SANCTION : This contest is sanctioned by the National Physique Committee of the USA Inc. (NPC). Sanction #9240.
ELIGIBILITY : This contest is Open to all male and female athletes in the U.S. Contestants must be a member of the NPC and membership cards will be available for purchase at the event: 2008 fee: $80.00. In the Teen categories you must be 19 years of age or under as of the date of the contest. For the Masters Women & Men , athletes must be that age or older as of the date of the contest.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS : The official host hotel is the GALLERY ONE FT. LAUDERDALE - A DOUBLETREE GUEST SUITES HOTEL, 2670 East Sunrise Blvd., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33304. The hotel is located near the contest site. Every room is a suite with a kitchen (fridge, microwave), dining area and sofa that pulls out for use as an additional bed. A special discounted rate of $119.00 per room (single or double occupancy) has been secured - the regular rate for these rooms is around $200 and up. For reservations, call toll free 1-800-222-8733 - be sure to mention that you are part of the SOUTHERN STATES CHAMPIONSHIPS - in order to get the discounted rate.
